In the second quarter of 2022, the performance of the top 5 music and podcasts apps on the Android platform in Peru showed interesting trends. Data from Sensor Tower provides insights into the weekly downloads and active user numbers for these leading apps.

Spotify: Music and Podcasts maintained a strong presence throughout the quarter. Weekly downloads fluctuated, peaking at around 53K in mid-April and maintaining numbers above 40K for most of the period. The app's weekly active users showed a steady increase, starting at approximately 5.9M and reaching around 6.2M by the end of June.

YouTube Music experienced a more varied download trend, starting with 16K downloads at the end of March and decreasing to around 10K by the end of April, before picking up again to approximately 11K by the end of June. Active users saw a slight increase from about 1.8M to 1.9M over the quarter.
